Support

SQLAtlas is made by one person, and I read every email.

Email support@sqlatlas.eu
I answer within one working day, Monday to Friday, Malta time.

Before you write

The easiest way: open Settings › Help › Support report. SQLAtlas shows you the whole report first. It holds the app version, operating system, rounded free storage, edition, your display settings and the last 20 error codes, with times rounded to the hour. It never holds your data, connection names, hosts, user names, SQL, file paths, passwords or keys. Then choose Email to support, or copy it into your own message. Add the database engine and version, and what you expected to happen. Never send passwords or real customer data.

The Support report in SQLAtlas Settings, Help: plain text with the app version, operating system, rounded free storage, edition, display settings and three recent error references, with buttons to copy it, save it or email it to support.
The support report: you see every line before you send it. Sample data.

Common questions

Does SQLAtlas send my data anywhere?
No. Queries go only between your computer and the servers you add. There is no analytics, no account and no telemetry. See the privacy policy.
How do I restore Pro on a new Mac?
Settings › SQLAtlas Pro › Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account.
How do I move a Windows or Linux licence to a new computer?
On the old computer, open Licence and choose Deactivate this computer, then activate the key on the new one. Lost the old computer? Email me.
Why does a connection fail with a certificate error?
Because SQLAtlas checks certificates by default. Add your CA certificate, or choose "Verify certificate only" for a private CA. Avoid "No encryption" except for a database on your own computer.
Why does an SSH tunnel ask for a host-key fingerprint?
So SQLAtlas can prove it is talking to your server before it sends any password or key. Your server administrator can give you the fingerprint, or run ssh-keygen -lf on the server's host key.
Why can't I type 04/03/2025 in a date cell?
Edits must be in canonical form (YYYY-MM-DD) so a date can never be misread. The display setting only changes how dates look.
Why is a table read-only?
The connection may be marked Production or read-only, or the table has no primary key or unique key, so SQLAtlas can't be sure which row an edit would change.
How do I turn on Touch ID?
On a Mac with Touch ID: Settings › Touch ID › Protect saved passwords with Touch ID.
How do I get a refund?
For App Store purchases, at reportaproblem.apple.com. For a Windows or Linux licence, reply to your receipt email.
