Features

Everything SQLAtlas does.

One app for five database engines. The free app does the daily work and every security feature; Pro, a one-time unlock, adds conversion, import, more export formats and the tools around them.

Connections Free

Five engines from one window: SQL Server (including Azure SQL Database and Managed Instance), MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL and SQLite. SQL Server sign-in with user and password, Windows integrated, Microsoft Entra ID, or an access token you supply. SQLite files open read-write, read-only or immutable. Nothing connects until you open it.

SQL editor Free

Completion from your live database, run the statement at the cursor, streamed results, cancel, history and explain plans. Writes on Production connections are reviewed first.

Table data and the Integrity Guard Free

Edit in the grid. Only changed columns are written, as typed parameters, in one transaction. Each change must match exactly one row; if a row changed since you read it, nothing is overwritten.

Display settings Free

Choose ISO, day/month or month/day dates and a decimal point or comma for the grid. Stored values, typing and exports never change.

Security Free

TLS with certificate and host name verification by default, optional certificate pinning (PostgreSQL), client certificates, SSH tunnels with pinned host keys, keychain-only passwords, read-only and Production modes, and optional Touch ID on the Mac.

CSV export Free

RFC 4180 or your own delimiter. NULL and empty text stay different. Optional protection against spreadsheet formulas.

Import Pro

CSV, JSON and NDJSON with column mapping, a preview of each INSERT, an error file and rows per transaction.

More export formats Pro

Excel (digits and dates kept as text so Excel can't round them), JSON, NDJSON and SQL INSERT scripts for any target engine.

Database conversion Pro

Between any two of the five engines, including SQL Server and Azure SQL to MySQL or MariaDB: plan, decisions for lossy mappings, preflight, run and a verification report. Tested on eight real sample databases: 46 of 46 runs matched value by value.

Schema compare and sync Pro

Compare two schemas and get a sync script to review. SQLAtlas never runs it for you.

ER diagrams Pro

Diagram any schema. Exporting as SVG or PNG is part of Pro.

Operations and backups Pro

Sessions, locks and sizes; SQLite online backup; SQL Server backup statements to review.

AI assistant Pro

Optional and off by default. A model on your own computer or your own Anthropic key. You see and approve every request, with values removed; answers are never run.

iCloud backup Planned

Optional, end-to-end encrypted backup of settings, saved connections, queries and history. Never passwords.

iPad, iPhone and iPhone Duo At launch

Coming with the Mac version at launch. The iPad gets two panes side by side, the iPhone one screen at a time, and the iPhone Duo switches between the two as you fold and unfold it. One Pro purchase covers every Apple device.

Azure SQL support is built in and tested against a local SQL Server set up like Azure (certificate-verified TLS, contained users). A run against a live Azure SQL instance is on the pre-launch checklist.

Mac, iPad, iPhone, iPhone Duo

On every
Apple screen.

SQLAtlas is built on the Mac first. The iPad, iPhone and iPhone Duo apps are coming at launch, with the same rules everywhere: values as stored, the Integrity Guard on every edit, Production read-only until you unlock it.

Mac

Built first and in testing: every screenshot on this site comes from it. Three panes, the full SQL editor, conversion and every tool. Coming to the Mac App Store at launch.

iPad At launch

Two panes side by side: connections and schema on one side, the table or query on the other.

iPhone At launch

One screen at a time, for the quick jobs: check a value, run a saved query, read a row. Read-only by default.

iPhone Duo At launch

Folded, the cover screen uses the iPhone layout. Unfold it and SQLAtlas switches live to the iPad layout. The open tab, your query and any staged edits are kept.

Design preview of SQLAtlas on a generic foldable phone: folded, a read-only row inspector for dbo.orders with values as stored and a saved query; unfolded, the schema list beside the table grid with the same row and its staged edit.
Design preview. The iPhone Duo app is coming at launch.

One purchase for all of them. SQLAtlas Pro is planned as one App Store purchase that unlocks Pro on Mac, iPad, iPhone and iPhone Duo with the same Apple Account (Universal Purchase). See pricing

Screens

Every screen follows your light or dark setting. All of them show sample data.

Light and dark

Day shift,
night shift.

SQLAtlas follows your system appearance, or you pick one in Settings, which also has a high-contrast option.

The dbo.orders data grid in the light theme.
The same data grid in the dark theme.
The same table in the light and the dark theme. Sample data.
